Shivswarodaya Gyan
Ayurveda and Pranayam:
Now a days lot is said on Immunity Control, and especially during the Pandemic times.
Ayurvedic experts prescribed various types of Kwaras or Kwaths for fighting with the Corona 2019.
I do advocate the uses of regular intake of Kwaras made from Neem, Basil, Soonth, Ashwagandha, and many more. Regular intake saved me from any invasion by the coronavirus. I shall describe the formula in a different blog. Today I would like to write something on the breathing control which is the best immunity tools given by Lord Mahadev.
महेश्वर भगवान शिव, माँ पार्वती, श्री गणेश और संसार से उद्धार करने वाले गुरु को नमस्कार करके परमात्मा का स्मरण करता हूँ।
We have three stages in our breathing cycle - intake by left nostril shows that
Chandra nadi is active, intake by right nostril shows that Surya (sun) nadi is active
and when both the nostrils are active then Sushumna nadi is active.
During the active Sushumna we should go for performing spiritual activities like
meditation etc. Sushumna works for few seconds during the 24 hours period..
The breathing in and breathing out constitutes one cycle of pranayam. While
breathing in chant SHO and while breathing out chant HAM. Total cycle makes
HAMSHA.
Proper breathing gives the required oxygen supply to the body and manages the
body temperature. Breathing through the left nostril causes cooling effect and
breathing through the right nostril causes heating effect.
तत्त्वाद् ब्रह्याण्डमुत्पन्नं तत्त्वेन परिवर्त्तते।
तत्त्वे विलीयते देवि तत्त्वाद् ब्रह्मा़ण्डनिर्णयः।।
Balancing the five elements in our body is the main purpose of any PRANAYAMA.
Kshiti, Apa, Tej, Marut, Vyom------- available all over the world and absolutely
necessary to be in balance for a sustainable earth.
Our body has a similar composition and for optimum health all these elements are to
be kept in balance. During breathing in and breathing out experts can identify
which element is active.
For the present chant OM and practice control of your breathing process, deeper the
better.
